Last month, TV On The Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe released his debut solo album Thee Black Boltz, which featured the singles “Drop,” “Magnetic,” “God Knows,” and “Somebody New.” Last night, the multi-hyphenate artist took the live performance of the latter to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with a special guest.

Santa Ana, CA group Pop Free announced they’re signing to Chicago’s New Morality Zine. They’re going to be releasing a new EP titled Spring in a couple weeks. The first glimpse we get is with the ripping single “Mirror.”

Earlier this week, Flume and JPEGMAFIA announced their collab EP, annoyingly titled We Live In A Society, after releasing an animated video for “Track 1.” The producer and rapper unveiled “AI Girlfriend” with a video tonight, and now the entire EP is out.

Last month, the Cure announced Mixes Of A Lost World, a remix album for last year’s Songs Of A Lost World. The first previews were Four Tet’s remix of “Alone” and Paul Oakenfold’s remix of “I Can Never Say Goodbye.” Now, we get to hear Deftones’ Chino Moreno remixing “Warsong.”

Former Possessed Guitarist Shot And Killed By San Francisco Police

Former Possessed guitarist Brian Montana has been shot and killed by San Francisco police. The death metal pioneer pulled out a gun on a neighbor during an argument about tree clippings on Monday (Apr. 28), and a shootout with cops ensued for nearly a half hour. He was 60.
“I Kissed A Girl” Singer Jill Sobule Dead At 66

Jill Sobule has died. The singer and activist best known for the 1995 folk-pop hit “I Kissed A Girl” passed away in a Woodbury, Minnesota house fire this morning; Sobule had been staying with friends in the Minneapolis suburb. She also sang “Supermodel” from the Clueless soundtrack and performed the acclaimed autobiographical musical Fuck 7th Grade in recent years. Sobule was 66.
