Watch Japanese Breakfast Cover Gorillaz At Coachella

Japanese Breakfast is currently on tour supporting their new album, which Michelle Zauner wrote about melancholy. She picked a fitting cover for her Coachella set Saturday, doing a rendition of Gorillaz’s 2010 highlight “On Melancholy Hill.” She also performed in a shell (because co-shell-a). Ginger Root, who’s been opening for Japanese Breakfast on this tour, also joined in for the cover. (Too bad Japanese Breakfast were scheduled opposite Yo Gabba Gabba!) Watch Travis Scott Debut Two Unreleased Songs And Play Viral Drake Mashup At Coachella

Travis Scott played Coachella last night, backed by a 60-plus person marching band. The rapper opened his headlining set with the live debut of “Crush,” one of his contributions to Playboi Carti’s new album MUSIC. The first portion of his show was made up of some of his recent guest appearances — like his verses on Carti’s “Backr00ms,” Future and Metro Boomin’s “Type Shit,” Lil Uzi Vert’s “Aye” — and he also debuted a couple of unreleased songs.

Kneecap performed at Coachella on Friday April 11. The Northern Irish rap trio is often outspoken about human rights issues, especially so during live performances — but you may not have been able to tell from the festival’s livestream. Kneecap said afterwards that their onstage digs at Margaret Thatcher and their support for Palestine were censored during the broadcast.
