Playboi Carti has been playing hard-to-get for years. He’s been teasing a new album without releasing it. He’s been putting new tracks up on YouTube or Instagram but not the streaming services. He’s gone four years without a full-length statement. So when Carti announced that his long-awaited LP would finally arrive today, people got excited. Many of those people stayed up late. It was a long night for them.

WU LYF Appear To Tease Reunion Following Lost Under Heaven Breakup

In 2012, as the cult-beloved Manchester rock band WU LYF broke up, their frontman Ellery Roberts teamed up with his girlfriend Ebony Hoorn under the name Lost Under Heaven. Recently, Lost Under Heaven announced their own musical breakup and released the farewell single “Creation Song.” When the news came out that LUH were hanging it up, some hopeful commenters here wondered if WU LYF — short for World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation — might get back together. That seemed like wishful thinking to me, but it looks like they might be getting their wish.

Spinal Tap II Shares First Teaser, Release Date

In the nearly three years since we learned a sequel to the classic mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap was in the works, we’ve heard about many of the rock stars who’ll appear in the film, including Paul McCartney, Elton John, Garth Brooks, and noted skinsmen Lars Ulrich and Chad Smith as entrants in Spinal Tap’s procession of doomed drummers. The band’s bassist Derek Smalls (aka Harry Shearer) also released a solo single.

Liam Gallagher Appears To Confirm Oasis Reunion Lineup As Setlist Leaks Too

As far as we know, the Oasis reunion is still happening. The Stereogum tips line has yet to receive any juicy gossip about any details surrounding the tour. But “sources close to the upcoming reunion tour” apparently told NME who’d be backing up the Gallaghers onstage this summer, despite neither Liam nor Noel confirming the lineup. Now, it appears that Liam has confirmed NME‘s Oasis lineup reportage, though he doesn’t seem happy about the circumstances.
