Watch Jehnny Beth Cover David Bowie At British Library Tribute Event

Ten years ago, just two days after releasing his final album Blackstar, David Bowie passed away. Over the weekend the national library in North London hosted a tribute event called David Bowie In Time, during which there were a few musical performances. Jehnny Beth, the ex-Savages frontperson who’s covered Bowie a handful of times over the years, participated by covering two highlights from Blackstar: “Dollar Days” and “Girl Loves Me.”

Watch John Mayer Perform “Ripple” At Bob Weir’s Memorial

Bob Weir died earlier this month at 78. The San Fransisco-born guitarist was best known for co-founding the Grateful Dead, but he also played with a few of its offshoot groups including Dead & Company, whose lineup includes John Mayer. (Weir’s final live performances, in fact, were a three-night run with Dead & Company last August at Golden Gate Park.) Over the past decade, the Grateful Dead’s “Ripple” has been a staple of Dead & Company’s live shows, and Mayer has also performed the 1970 song a few times during his own shows. Last night at Weir’s public hometown memorial, Mayer performed an acoustic rendition of “Ripple.” He did the song solo, but there was a whole group of friends, family, and admirers up on stage with him.

SNL: A$AP Rocky Performs, Joins Sabrina Carpenter & Finn Wolfhard In Snackhomiez

Actor/musicians Finn Wolfhard and A$AP Rocky were the stars of the first Saturday Night Live of 2026. It was host Wolfhard’s SNL debut, though the Stranger Things star and indie rocker did once play an NBC page in the 2024 movie Saturday Night. He was also referenced in a Stranger Things song by cast member Jane Wickline during Weekend Update last month (she sang, “Finn Wolfhard is the devil to me” in that). A$AP Rocky had never performed on SNL before tonight, but he did cameo in the Migos parody “Friendos” with host Donald Glover in 2018.

Watch Mr. Bungle Play “Retrovertigo” Live For The First Time In 25 Years

The Mr. Bungle reunion has been in full swing since 2020. There have been some bumps, like when Mike Patton had to cancel for mental health reasons and when he tried to take out a drone at Knotfest Chile. But they’ve been having fun and even covering Grease songs. On Thursday, the band pleased audiences in Zapopan, Mexico by (partially) performing “Retrovertigo” for the first time since 2000.

The Waterboys Will Not Be Deterred From Posting AI Slop

Last year, the Waterboys released Life, Death And Dennis Hopper, 25 songs about the late Hollywood icon featuring Bruce Springsteen, Fiona Apple, Steve Earle, and more. The longstanding project of Mike Scott returned last month with a new b-sides LP containing 16 more songs about Dennis Hopper, and it had R. Crumb-ripoff AI-generated cover art. One of the singles also came with an AI-generated music video, and backlash ensued.

Morrissey Cancels Tomorrow’s Atlanta Show, Gets Cut From New A$AP Rocky Album And Mocked On New Robbie Williams Album

Three days into January, Morrissey’s 2026 started with the first slate of what promise to be many show cancellations this year, as has become the former Smiths singer’s custom. But it seemed like things were actually picking up for Moz this time. After years of scrapped gigs and aborted album launches, this month he’s actually managed to share the lead single from new LP Make-Up Is A Lie and gotten back onstage. Now, the sad Morrissey news has resumed.
