Common Holly – “Amour, Amour” (Michel Legrand Cover)

Brigitte Naggar returned this year with Anything glass, her first Common Holly album since 2019. Today the self-professed “sincere-core” artist has delivered a stripped-down cover of “Amour, Amour,” a Michel Legrand song from the 1970 film Peau d’Âne. This song has been in my head since I first encountered it during a film screening in…

Like his brother Westside Gunn and his cousin Benny The Butcher, Buffalo hardass Conway The Machine has been a prolific underground rap force for many years. We don’t get too many new albums in the last few weeks of the year, but we’re getting one from Conway, who will follow up last year’s Slant Face…

Watch The Trailer For Charli XCX’s A24 Movie The Moment

It’s not easy bein’ Brat green. Early this year, as Brat Summer was seemingly simmering down at last, Charli XCX announced she was working on a movie for A24 called The Moment, starring herself and based on her own idea. (It’s just one of many film-related projects she’s been cooking up lately.) Now the teaser trailer is here, and personally, it’s getting me excited to see the full thing, which will be out in theaters Jan. 30.

Florida Black Metal Freaks Worm Announce New Album Necropalace, Share 12-Minute Title Track

A couple of years ago, Tomb Mold guitarist Derrick Vella’s ambitiously progged-out side project Dream Unending released Starpath, a split LP with the gothy, over-the-top Miami black metal band Worm. Before that record, I must confess that I was unfamiliar with Worm’s game. But I liked what I saw in them — dramatic keyboards, splintered…
