Leeds quintet Love Rarely play intense emo that incorporates elements like delicate twinkly guitars, swooning melodic vocals, and harsh skramz freakouts. Or at least they do on “Disappear,” their new single out today. The track is slick but crushing, soothing yet visceral, the sound of beauty and ugliness locked in endless warfare. It’s all leading to this resolution: “Should I run or settle in the sun/ I’m gonna settle in the sun/ Set up the telly in the back room or settle in the sun/ I’m gonna settle in the sun.” Listen below.
Lana Del Rey’s Country Album Is Apparently Getting Yet Another Title And Release Date

For well over a year, Lana Del Rey has been teasing a new country album called Lasso. In November, she finally announced a May 21 release date, at which point we learned the album would actually be called The Right Person Will Stay and was more Americana than strictly country, even though Lana is performing at the country-focused Stagecoach festival this year. Now more changes to the project are afoot.

“Wacced Out Murals,” the opening track on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, includes the lyric “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law.” Many suspected the line was a reference to Andrew Schulz, who caught flack for his comments about white guys with Black girlfriends on the Flagrant podcast last year.
