Billy Joel Performs For The First Time Since Brain Disorder Diagnosis, Joining Tribute Band In Wellington, FL

In May of last year, Billy Joel canceled all of his shows due to normal pressure hydrocephalus, which is when cerebrospinal fluid builds up in your skull and presses on your brain. He later clarified that he was not dying, but he said his “balance sucks.” Last night, the Piano Man performed for the first time since that diagnosis.

EsDeeKid Objects To The Chainsmokers’ Unauthorized Remix

The Chainsmokers are back, wreaking remix havoc. The duo has been reworking some of music’s biggest hits, including Charli XCX’s “party 4 u,” Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club,” and Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True.” Last month, they shared a rework of Taylor Swift’s “The Fate Of Ophelia,” and to close out 2025, they dropped a remix of sombr’s “back to friends.” All of these are unsolicited remixes, except for Swift’s, which is available on DSPs. Most recently, they released a remix of scouse rapper EsDeeKid’s “4 Raws” yesterday afternoon, and it has not been received well.

Since, releasing his fourth studio album IDOLS, aspiring rock god Yungblud has had a nice streak of wins — naysaying predecessors aside — in the name of rock ‘n’ roll, including an Aerosmith collab and a few Grammy nominations. One of those nominations is Best Rock Song for the ballad “Zombie.” Today, Yungblud breathes new…

Wristwatch’s Tightly Wound Garage Punk LP III Hits Hard

Madison’s Wristwatch play a sharp-edged, high-strung form of garage punk, like the Buzzcocks meet Dark Thoughts. The vocals are theatrically forceful and piercing in a way that reminds me of Jay Reatard, and the band’s nervous-tension barrage brims with the mechanical intensity of a post-punk band without losing its fiery humanity. It’s all tightly wound…

Watch Lucy Dacus Perform “Bread And Roses” At Zohran Mamdani’s Mayoral Inauguration

Indie rockers were among the many musicians who played a part in Zohran Mamdani’s successful campaign to become mayor of New York City. Lucy Dacus, for instance, welcomed Mamdani onstage during her performance at All Things Go. Mamdani is keeping that connection going as his term officially begins today. (It’s also the first day of no more MetroCards — the future really is now!)

Post Malone Livestreams Painful Backflip Attempt, Teases Two New Albums For 2026

In career terms, Post Malone is awfully agile. He managed to switch from rap-adjacent pop stardom to country-adjacent pop stardom, and if that’s an easy thing to do, then you try it. Unfortunately, Posty has not proven to be quite so agile in physical terms. Earlier this month, Post fell on his ass onstage, and not for the first time. More recently, he also fell on his wrist while livestreaming.
