Nickelback Respond To Jack Black’s Impromptu And Imprecise Cover

If you’re in the band Nickelback, or if you’re responsible for operating the band Nickelback’s social media accounts, you’re going to have to be OK with people making fun of you. It’s part of the job. Nickelback are quite possibly this century’s biggest, most obvious popular music punching bag. So when movie star and Tenacious D leader Jack Black goes semi-viral with a spirited, off-the-cuff butchering of Nickelback’s signature song, the band can’t really get mad about it.

NewJeans’ Agency ADOR Terminates Danielle, Plans Legal Action Against Her Family Member

The tense legal saga between South Korean record label ADOR and K-pop group NewJeans has been ongoing for over a year. Earlier this year, the group changed their name due to ongoing litigation. The latest development follows the court ruling from October 30 that NewJeans’ contracts were valid, and that all five members remain bound to them until their expiration in 2029. The court also dismissed NewJeans’ accusation of workplace harassment against BELIFT LAB’s girl group ILLIT manager involving NewJeans member Hanni. Since then ADOR and NewJeans members have engaged in intense discussions regarding the group’s future.

Wolf Parade’s Spencer Krug Talks “I’ll Believe In Anything” Going Viral Thanks To Heated Rivalry

Over two decades since its release, Wolf Parade’s indie rock classic “I’ll Believe In Anything” is getting its viral moment thanks to a pivotal scene in the sports romance show Heated Rivalry. Created, directed, and written by friend of the band Jacob Tierney, the Crave series follows two rival hockey players who — spoiler alert — have a romance off the ice. “I’ll Believe In Anything” plays during the eponymous fifth episode named after the track, in which another hockey player publicly comes out as gay by kissing his partner in the middle of the rink after winning the MLH Cup.

Brigitte Bardot Dead At 91

Brigitte Bardot, the French former actress, singer, and model who became a pop culture icon during the sexual revolution, died today, December 28, at her home in Saint-Tropez. She was 91, leaving behind an immediately-recognizable but troubled legacy. “A tireless advocate for animal rights, she is a legend who helped shape our imaginations, without ever allowing herself to be confined by them,” France’s Minister Of Culture Rachida Dati said in a statement. “Wildly free and, ultimately, so very French.”

Jane’s Addiction & Perry Farrell Reach Settlement, Lawsuits Dismissed

It seems the Jane’s Addiction drama is wrapping up. The band has been a mess since frontman Perry Farrell started an onstage fistfight with his bandmates during their reunion tour last year, causing Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins to quit the band and work on music without him. They sued Farrell for assault and battery, and he sued back. But last week Farrell apologized for the brawl, and now a settlement has been reached and the lawsuits have been dismissed.
