Other Half are not having it. On their new single “Transgression Is Outdated,” the Norwich punks spit, “Ex-ravers defending the pigs/ Where does it stop man? Where does it end?” It’s their first new material since last year’s Dark Ageism, and it’s a riot.

We last heard from Dying Wish in 2023 with their sophomore effort Symptoms Of Survival. Today, the Portland metalcore outfit returns with the merciless anthem “I Brought You My Soul (Your World Brought Me Despair).”

Montreal’s Thanya Iyer has announced her third album, TIDE/TIED, to follow her 2020 sophomore effort, KIND. The experimental-pop artist is sharing a slice today with the surreal single “Low Tides.”

No Windows have two impressive EPs under their belt, and now the young Edinburgh duo is adding another. The Great Traitor is produced by Ali Chant and slated for release in May, and they shared a taste today with the astonishing lead single “Return.”

It’s been several years since Tom Waits last performed in public, but now the legendary musician makes an appearance in an Italian docuseries. The eighth episode of The Human Factor is centered on homelessness in the American South, and it includes Waits performing and reading poetry.

Last summer, the members of the 1975 were hit with a $2.4 million lawsuit from Future Sound Asia, the organizers behind Malaysia’s Good Vibes Festival. The suit stemmed from an onstage kiss between frontman Matty Healy and bassist Ross MacDonald during the band’s 2023 headlining set, which they did in an effort to protest Malaysia’s very restrictive anti-homosexuality laws. The 1975’s set got cut about 45 minutes short, the rest of the festival was cancelled, and Good Vibes’ license was immediately revoked. Now, a London judge has ruled that the 1975 cannot be held liable, the AP reports.

The plucky and prolific Welsh band the Bug Club made the leap to Sub Pop for last year’s On The Intricate Inner Workings Of The System. Today they’re back with an apparent one-off dedicated to their homeland. “Have U Ever Been 2 Wales” is a fine introduction to the (ahem) buzzy indie duo, full of piercing hooks and anxious energy. There’s a new supergroup in town. Welcome Demise Of Love, the project of British musicians Daniel Avery, Ghost Culture (James Greenwood), and Working Men’s Club (Sydney Minsky Sargeant). The three entered the studio as fans of each others’ work, and they left with the Demise Of Love EP. The lead single “Strange Little Consequence” is out now.
