Creatively speaking, returns are uneven on Drake’s surprise three-album drop. But commercially speaking, Iceman, Habibti, and Maid Of Honour are a major coup. The albums have debuted at #1, #2, and #3 respectively, making Drake the first artist to ever occupy the top three spots on the Billboard 200 concurrently.

Neil Young Makes Surprise Live Return At Vancouver Benefit Show

Neil Young is back on stage. The music icon gave his first performance in almost exactly a year last night during his surprise appearance at a benefit concert for his friend David Suzuki. At Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre, he performed “Heart Of Gold” from 1972’s Harvest and “After The Gold Rush” from the 1970 LP of the same name.

Jack White Joins Stephen Colbert On Monroe Public Access After Late Show Finale

On Thursday (May 21), Stephen Colbert hosted the finale of The Late Show. During his monologue, he reflected on his 2015 appearance on Michigan’s public access station Only In Monroe, where he performed a test run of The Late Show to an audience of 12 people and had Eminem as a guest. “Show business being what it is these days, that’s probably where you’ll see me next,” he said in the monologue, and then pulled through yesterday.

Thom Yorke Talks New Solo Album, Next Radiohead Tour, Music Industry Arseholes

Thom Yorke was honored at Thursday night’s Ivor Novello Awards, taking the podium after an introduction by surprise presenter Harry Styles, who called Radiohead his favorite band and announced he lost his virginity to “Talk Show Host.” In interviews surrounding the ceremony, he talked about what he’s been up to, which includes finishing up the solo album mentioned by Radiohead bandmate Ed O’Brien (whose own solo album Blue Morpho is out today). It sounds like he worked on it with Sam Petts-Davies, the producer and engineer who has helmed Yorke’s recent albums with the Smile.
