FLO – “Leak It”

These days, it feels like the UK trio FLO are the last straight-up pop girl group left standing, at least outside of the K-pop machine. FLO made their name by reviving the sleek R&B of the late ’90s, and they’re extremely good at it. Their very fun debut album Access All Areas came out in…

Darkthrone Announce New Album Pre-Historic Metal: Hear The Title Track

As of 2026, it’s been 40 years since the formation of Black Death, the group that evolved into Norwegian black metal pioneers Darkthrone. Darkthrone are a big enough deal that we published a ranking of their albums in 2013, and they’re prolific enough that they’ve released plenty more albums since then. Soon, they’ll add another…

Neurosis Share Surprise New Album With Isis’ Aaron Turner On Vocals

Today, we get a new surprise album that’s an actual no-shit surprise. In 2022, Scott Kelly, frontman of the legendary long-running underground metal band Neurosis, admitted to abusing his wife and children and wrote that he’s “100% permanently retired from being a professional musician.” In response, Kelly’s Neurosis bandmates expressed their “disgust and disappointment” with…

CY Fest Loses Over A Dozen Bands Amid Boycott, New Promoter Steps In Then Backs Out

Things are not looking good for CY Fest, the underground punk/hardcore/metal festival that’s supposed to come to Los Angeles in a week and a half. Last week, the Instagram page @Feral_bonobos, which lists itself as “the beginning of a decentralized feminist coalition within the punk scene,” circulated many sexual misconduct allegations against festival promoter Ignacio Rodriguera, who goes by the name Nacho Corrupted. Since then, a number of bands have dropped off of the festival, and its immediate future looks truly dubious.

fakemink Announces North American, UK, European Tours

The young London rapper fakemink has a whole lot of hype around him, and his music has enough fuzzed-out weirdo energy to justify that. He was one of our favorite new artists of 2025, and he ended the year by playing his first few North American tours, including a set at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival. This year, fakemink released his EP The Boy Who Cried Terrified, and his album Terrified is supposed to arrive in spring. He was already set to play US festivals like Coachella, Rolling Loud, and Lollapalooza. Now, he’s announcing a whole North American tour, followed by runs in the UK and Europe.

Cranberries Members Join Sombr For “Linger” In Dublin

Sombr had the unique honr of performing in Dublin just one day before St. Patrick’s Day. To celebrate, the Gen Z pop star brought out Mike and Noel Hogan, members of the Gen Z -beloved Cranberries. With the Hogans on guitar and bass, Sombr — decked out in shamrock green — sang lead on their hit “Linger,” a song that came out 12 years before he was born. Sombr can legally drink in Ireland, so he also unsuccessfully tried to split the G on a pint of Guinness onstage. See clips below.
