Last night, Cardi B made her return to SNL. The Bronx rapper was previously the musical guest was in 2018, performing the same week that her debut studio album Invasion Of Privacy was released. This time, there was no grand pregnancy announcement. But she did open with a vibrant performance of “Bodega Baddie,” which paid homage to her Dominican roots. She followed up with “ErrTime.” Both are off of last year’s Am I The Drama?. She also made an appearance in the Immigrant Dad Talk Show sketch, playing Marcello Hernández’ wife.

Shirley Manson’s Pre-Garbage Band Angelfish Reunite And Cover Stone Roses At Palestine Benefit

Before there was Garbage, there was Angelfish. Steve Marker first reached out to Shirley Manson about singing for Garbage after seeing her band Angelfish’s video for “Suffocate Me,” which famously aired just once on MTV during the September 12, 1993 episode of 120 Minutes, at nearly 2 a.m. Last night, the short-lived early-’90s rock group reunited live for the first time in a decade with all proceeds from the show benefiting humanitarian aid charities for Palestinian children.

The existence of Mariah Carey’s secret ’90s grunge album was first revealed in her 2020 memoir The Meaning Of Mariah Carey. In 1995, Someone’s Ugly Daughter was released under the band name Chick without her lead vocals. It was inspired by Sleater-Kinney and L7 and Carey has been “on a quest” to find the version of the LP with her lead vocals intact so she could put it out; last fall she talked with SZA and Jimmy Fallon about the mission. In the meantime, Foo Fighters and Taylor Momsen teamed up to cover some of its tracks last night at the MusiCares Person Of The Year benefit gala honoring the singer.

Once a year, the Nelsonville Music Festival brings a thoughtfully curated collection of artists to Nelsonville, Ohio. Our own Chris DeVille was there last year, and he proclaimed that the festival “rules.” Allow him to elaborate: “The way forward, as has been obvious for a while now, is smaller, more carefully curated fests — sustainable events with real personality. Nelsonville Music Festival is one of the best of them.” We don’t even have the full lineup for this year’s edition of Nelsonville, but its lineup already includes the bands. who made Stereogum’s two favorite albums of 2025.
