Someone’s Out Here Heckling College Basketball Players By Yelling ’90s Alt-Rock Hits At Them

On Tuesday, the 15th-seeded Pitt scored an upset win over Stanford in the opening game of the ACC tournament. It was a closely contested game, and Pitt won it by a single point, 64-63. The true hero of the game was senior guard Damarco Minor, who caught his own rebound and scored with less than a second on the clock. But in a game that close, anything can make a difference. So maybe the deciding factor was the one mysterious, extremely loud person, presumably a Pitt fan, who spent the game’s second half bellowing ’90s alt-rock ballads at Stanford players.

Kacey Musgraves Announces New Album Middle Of Nowhere Feat. Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings, & More: Hear “Dry Spell”

It’s only been two years since Kacey Musgraves released the smooth, pretty, wellness-oriented Deeper Well, but I could have sworn it was three or four. I guess it feels longer because that album glided past me, whereas prior Musgraves full-lengths took over my life for a while. Maybe this new one will get its hooks…

Bleachers – “dirty wedding dress”

Extremely busy mega-producer Jack Antonoff is back with his band Bleachers, and they’ll release a new album called everyone for ten minutes this spring. Antonoff’s wife Margaret Qualley starred in the video for their lead single “you and forever,” and now they’ve followed that song with a rowdy, countrified yarn called “dirty wedding dress.” You…

Watch The Trailer For Mile End Kicks, Barbie Ferreira Rom-Com About Montreal’s Indie Music Scene

“Montreal is the most exciting place for indie rock,” Barbie Ferreira says in the official trailer for Mile End Kicks as MGMT’s “Time To Pretend” plays in the background. The Euphoria actor stars in writer/director Chandler Levack’s upcoming rom-com about a young music critic who gets romantically entangled with members of a DIY band whom she also decides to interview for work. (They specifically tell you not to do that when you get into this business, but oh well.) Judging by the preview, Mile End Kicks feels a lot like a millennial Almost Famous, and the trailer’s got all the era-appropriate tokens: A Mac Demarco poster! A Chuck Klosterman book! MacBook webcams!

New Jersey rap eccentric Fatboi Sharif was a Stereogum Artist To Watch in 2021, and he has put together a singularly bugged-out discography ever since then.
