Man Arrested In Panama For Cold As Life Vocalist’s Murder After Decades On The Run

Rodney Barner, who went by the stage name Rawn Beauty, was the original frontman for Cold As Life, the legendarily chaotic and tough Detroit hardcore band. In the late ’80s and early ’90s, Barner was a larger-than-life presence on the Detroit punk scene. In 1993, he was murdered, shot to death in his sleep at the age of 23. Richard Werstine, Barner’s friend and roommate, was arrested for the murder, and he failed to appear for his trial. For decades, Werstine lived as a fugitive, evading authorities. Now, Werstine has finally been taken into custody after being arrested at a dog park in Panama City, Panama.

The Rolling Stones Talk Tour Plans, Get De-Aged In Their “In The Stars” Video Starring Odessa A’zion

The Rolling Stones are rolling out their new album Foreign Tongues, but as of now they aren’t supporting it with a tour. Last year the band reportedly scrapped plans for 2026 live shows because Keith Richards couldn’t commit to touring. According to a new interview, all hope may not be lost for those who hope to see the rock legends onstage again. Speaking to the AP recently, Mick Jagger said, “I would love to tour the album. I absolutely would love to, so I hope to do it as soon as that’s possible.” Richards was less enthusiastic: “Yeah, yeah, possibly, you know, I mean, at the moment, we’re just sort of saying, ‘We finished the record, let’s do this.'” He added, “Not this year.”

Salem Share Surprise New Album Red Dragon To Coincide With Supreme Drop

Today Supreme officially drops their spring collection in collaboration with the Michigan witch house duo Salem, which includes a pair of grippy hospital socks. The team-up makes sense — music aside, “hip yet mentally disturbed” is kind of a key component of Salem’s whole thing. Anyway, now Jack Donoghue and John Holland have a whole…

Boston Hardcore Rippers RISK Share Primal New LP Forever

Sometimes, you just want to hear someone do down-the-middle hardcore music right. It’s cool when people fuse hardcore with different genres, expanding the audience and the sonic language. It’s cool when the music provides a vehicle of expression for larger-than-life characters. But sometimes, it’s just as cool when a relatively anonymous hardcore band locks into…

Tove Lo Announces New Album Estrus: Hear “I’m Your Girl Right?”

Tove Lo teamed up with SG Lewis back in 2024 for their collaborative EP Heat, which we liked quite a bit. But now, it’s time for a new Tove Lo album. A couple of days ago, the Swedish pop star announced the title and release date of her sixth studio album Estrus, which arrives in…

fakemink Forgives Critics Of His Rolling Loud Set: “I Am One Of The Most Important Artists Alive”

The London rapper and producer fakemink recently emerged as a weird, energetic new force with a lot of hype and energy behind him. On record, fakemink is an oblique lo-fi weirdo who radiates confidence even when he’s transforming his voice into an inhuman squeak. In person, he’s something else. When fakemink played Coachella last month, plenty of critics noted his sloppy, listless performance. (Hunter Biden, for one, was into it.) On Saturday, fakemink played Orlando’s Rolling Loud fest, and it seems like things didn’t go much better.
