Watch Black Sabbath Reunite For Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Concert

Exactly six months ago, we learned that Black Sabbath’s original lineup — Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward — were getting back together for one last show. It would be their first performance in over eight years and first with Ward in nearly 20. The Black Sabbath finale would double as a farewell concert for Osbourne, who retired from touring three years ago while dealing with serious health problems including Parkinson’s disease, and it would really be more like a day-long festival featuring some of the biggest names in heavy music leading up to the main event. Today at Villa Park in the group’s hometown of Birmingham, UK, the big event finally happened.

Stream Febuary’s Awesome New EP Run Like A Girl

It’s screamo summer. Last year Febuary (Editor’s note: It is spelled Febuary, not February, which I just realized after posting this. Emo bands always have to do this shit, but I love them for it) kicked ass with their eponymous debut album, whose amazing track “No Way…” was an instant emo classic. The Las Vegas four-piece is back today to intensify your Fourth of July hangover anxiety with some fresh, merciless rippers.

Welcome Strawberry – “Desperate Flower”

Welcome Strawberry will release their new album Desperate Flower at the end of the month, and I already have a feeling it’s gonna be soundtracking a lot of my beach days this summer. So far the Oakland dream pop/shoegaze band have shared “Violets & Honey” and the lead single “Memory Cube,” the latter of which we named one of the Best Songs Of The Week. Today Welcome Strawberry are sharing Desperate Flower‘s final single, which just so happens to be its title track and is also quite good. It has a nice melodic jangle inspired by bands like Apples In Stereo and Neutral Milk Hotel, but with a whole lot of guitar feedback and reverb. And at nearly five minutes long, it can easily put you in a very pleasant trance if you let it. Check out “Desperate Flower” below.
