Watch Racing Mount Pleasant Debut New Song At Hometown Tour Closer

The ambitious young Michigan-founded Band To Watch Racing Mount Pleasant impressed a lot of us with their self-titled album this year, their second overall and first since changing their name from Kingfisher. Personally, I’m eager to hear more songs from the emo/post-rock combo, and fortunately it sounds like new music is practically falling out of them. Closing out their tour at Ann Arbor’s Power Center for the Performing Arts, RMP debuted a new song that, per the unofficial Instagram fan account @rmpupdates, “was literally written in the green room before the show,” a slow-burn mood piece with the requisite sax action. Seems like they’re on to something…

Garbage’s Shirley Manson Addresses Beach Ball Backlash In Brisbane

Perhaps you’ve head the news that Shirley Manson does not want beach balls at Garbage shows or anywhere near her ever. In a moment that’s now gone viral from the band’s set at Melbourne’s Good Things festival last week, Manson angrily cussed out a man in the audience for throwing around a beach ball in what we can only assume was a rather distracting manner. Manson later clarified on Threads: “I joined a band because I HATED THE FUCKING BEACH. I joined a band because I wanted to listen to Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure and be dark and beautiful.”

Dijon Makes SNL Debut With Huge Band Including Justin Vernon, Nick Hakim, & Amber Coffman

In addition to putting out his own great new album Baby over the summer, Dijon also worked on two Grammy-nominated albums in 2025: Justin Bieber’s Swag and Bon Iver’s SABLE, fABLE. People are digging the Dijon sound, but it takes a lot of people to replicate that sound live! Dijon made his SNL debut last night as musical guest, and as he teased ahead of the episode, his performance featured a massive band with some familiar faces.

Reid – “rebirth”

Reid is a 19-year-old UK electronic artist with only a few songs under his belt, but they’re real bangers. “pull up” is a hot, hazy earworm; “addict” is a twitchy, infectious club anthem. He’s got the sultry voice of 2hollis, the ecstatic beats of fakemink, and the clubby atmosphere of Sipper. Now he’s back with…

Kevin Basko, the prolific Philly musician who records as Rubber Band Gun, is teaming up with Cincinnati’s own Joey Joesph (not, not Joseph) for a whole album of collaborative tracks. It’s called ROAM BABY ROAM, and although we don’t yet know when it will see release, we do get to hear the lead single on…

Jawnino & Surf Gang Share Collaborative Project amnesia

The London underground rapper Jawnino has an understated magnetism, and he’s drawn to refracted, club-adjacent beats that fit his voice beautifully. Jawnino’s True Panther debut 40 came out last year, and he’s one of our favorite new artists of 2025. Now, he’s released a new collaborative project with the New York production collective Surf Gang.…
