Matty Healy Covers James Taylor With Tiny Habits

Matty Healy’s favorite artist is James Taylor — at least according to his fiancée Gabbriette, who surprised the 1975 frontman with tickets to see the singer-songwriter back in September. On that tour, Taylor’s supporting act was Tiny Habits, a Boston-based folk-pop trio who went viral for their cover of the 1975’s “Somebody Else” a few years ago. Now, in a full-circle moment, Tiny Habits are covering James Taylor with (a newly-mohawked) Healy.

Pulp – “The Man Comes Around” (Johnny Cash Cover)

Jarvis Cocker is not Johnny Cash, though they have the same initials. Cocker and his band Pulp aren’t especially known for covering other people’s tracks, though they’ve done it a few times over the years. I’d say they’re better known for their song “Bad Cover Version,” which is not a bad song or a cover…

MØL Announce New Album Dreamcrush: Hear Two Songs

For nearly a decade, Denmark’s MØL have been making music within the fertile ground of blackgaze, the epically atmospheric zone where black metal intersects with shoegaze. Early next year, they’ll follow their 2021 album Diorama with a new one called Dreamcrush. I think we can all agree that Dreamcrush is a very blackgaze album title.…

Camp Flog Gnaw Livestream Is Free This Weekend

This year’s Camp Flog Gnaw was originally planned for last weekend at LA’s Dodger Stadium, but extreme weather in the forecast prompted Tyler, The Creator to push the festival back a week. Unfortunately, this resulted in some artists like Clairo dropping from the event, but Kali Uchis, Blood Orange, Geese, Fakemink were all added. The stacked two-day lineup’s also got A$AP Rocky, Childish Gambino, Earl Sweatshirt, Clipse, Doechii, Thundercat, and more. The livestream begins across two channels each day at 6PM ET at Amazon Music’s Twitch (on mobile it may prompt you to use the Twitch app) and Prime Video.
