Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker Taught Us About Australia

A few months ago, Tame Impala released the bush doof-inspired album Deadbeat, and their single “Dracula” became their first-ever Hot 100 hit. Also a few months ago, Tame Impala mastermind Kevin Parker sat down with Stereogum kangaroo correspondent Rachel Brown for an interview. They didn’t talk about the new album, though. Instead, they just talked about Australia.

Amyl And The Sniffers Singer Sues Photographer For Exploiting Magazine Shoot

Amy Taylor, leader of the Australian punk band Amyl And The Sniffers, is suing photographer Jamie Nelson in a California district court, accusing the photographer of “exploitation of her image.” According to the complaint, Nelson did a photo shoot with Taylor for Vogue Portugal with the understanding that Nelson would not sell the images from that shoot as fine art prints. Jack White Responds After Congressman Posts Fake AI Video Of Him

Jack White is not a fan of Donald Trump. We know this. The newly inducted Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer has called out the Trump Administration for multiple outrages, most recently Trump’s indefensible comments on Rob Reiner’s murder. In response, Tim Burchett, a far-right Republican Congressman who represents Tennessee’s Knox County, tweeted a fake AI-generated video of White while making fun of his appearance. White isn’t happy about that.

Nickelback Respond To Jack Black’s Impromptu And Imprecise Cover

If you’re in the band Nickelback, or if you’re responsible for operating the band Nickelback’s social media accounts, you’re going to have to be OK with people making fun of you. It’s part of the job. Nickelback are quite possibly this century’s biggest, most obvious popular music punching bag. So when movie star and Tenacious D leader Jack Black goes semi-viral with a spirited, off-the-cuff butchering of Nickelback’s signature song, the band can’t really get mad about it.

NewJeans’ Agency ADOR Terminates Danielle, Plans Legal Action Against Her Family Member

The tense legal saga between South Korean record label ADOR and K-pop group NewJeans has been ongoing for over a year. Earlier this year, the group changed their name due to ongoing litigation. The latest development follows the court ruling from October 30 that NewJeans’ contracts were valid, and that all five members remain bound to them until their expiration in 2029. The court also dismissed NewJeans’ accusation of workplace harassment against BELIFT LAB’s girl group ILLIT manager involving NewJeans member Hanni. Since then ADOR and NewJeans members have engaged in intense discussions regarding the group’s future.
