21 Savage Releases New Album What Happened To The Streets? Feat. Drake, GloRilla, Young Nudy, More

We used to get albums like this all the time. Maybe we took them for granted. Rap’s entrenched A-list has really been struggling lately, putting out underwhelming connect-the-dots records and failing to make hits as the pop charts seemingly turn in other directions. There are lots of reasons for that gradual shift, and one of…

Primal Scream Defend Image Of Swastika Inside Star Of David At London Show

Primal Scream played a concert celebrating the 25th anniversary of their album XTRMNTR Monday night at Roundhouse in London. Per The Guardian, during their performance of XTRMNTR track “Swastika Eyes,” a video played in which a swastika was displayed inside a Star of David. The image was then superimposed over the eyes of political leaders including Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US president Donald Trump, and UK MP Keir Starmer. The video also included images of the destruction in Gaza. It ended with the message, “Our government is complicit in genocide.”

0 Stars Conjure Trembling Indie Rock Beauty On New Album World No. 2

Brooklyn’s Mikey Buishas (formerly of Really Big Pinecone) makes music under the name 0 Stars, and although we don’t assign ratings around here outside the Number Ones franchises, IMO his new album World No. 2 deserves several more stars than that. Timothée Chalamet Won’t Say Whether He’s Really EsDeeKid

There’s this UK rapper named EsDeeKid, right? White kid from Liverpool. Always wears a mask. Thick accent. Raps over the glitchy, twitchy UK underground beats that are currently picking up all kinds of buzz online. EsDeeKid hasn’t been making music for a long time, but he makes a lot of it. In his videos, he’s usually all in shadow. He’s keeping things mysterious on purpose, and the internet is having a lot of fun with the idea that he’s really Timothée Chalamet. Chalamet himself can neither confirm nor deny.

Roger Daltrey Knighted

Life is crazy. One day, you sing a song where you’re like, “Hope I die before I’m knighted in the king’s birthday honours list,” and then bam, decades later, you’re knighted in the king’s birthday honours list. As of yesterday, the Who frontman Roger Daltrey is now the Who frontman Sir Roger Daltrey.

Colleen Shares New Album Libres antes del final: Hear “Antídoto”

Any time you see the name “Colleen” on Stereogum, it’s probably going to be us gushing over the perpetually underrated fuzz-pop singer-songwriter Colleen Green. Not this time, though! (Well, maybe a little bit this time. Coleen Green rules. You should listen to her.) Colleen is also the stage name of Cécile Schott, a French producer…
